Starting with version 5 WOWSound decoders have a limited ability to protect themselves against short circuits in the motor and light circuitry. When the decoder senses a short circuit it will announce the short and even tell you what is shorting. The shorted component will be turned off for 5 seconds and then be turned back on, if there is still a short the decoder will announce the short again and shut off power for another 5 seconds. During that time the rest of the decoder will still be active.

CV112 Short Circuit Trip Level controls the trip settings for the short circuit protection. See below for how to use CV112.

Short Circuit Protection
Auto Mars Max Speed
Range of Values0-126
Accepted Values1-126
Default Value36

NMRA CV 112 - Auto Mars Max Speed

The Speed Step (0-126) above which the Auto Mars light will go from using the Mars light effect to being on constant bright. A value of 0 is invalid, and will result in the light always being on solid constantly without any Mars effect.
