NMRA CV 173 - Auxiliary Input Sound Duration

This CV controls the number of seconds a looping sound will play when triggered by the Aux Input. For decoders with an auxiliary input, a sound function can be mapped using Indexed CV 16.4.324.

The value of this CV is the number of seconds the sound will play before shutting off after being triggered. The minimum value is 1 (second) and the maximum value is 255 (seconds), which is approximately 4 minutes.

An example of this would be to install a magnetic reed switch on the bottom of a locomotive and place a magnet in between the rails before a grade crossing, then every time the locomotive approaches the crossing it will play a grade crossing quill automatically.
